9 Angry

Feeling angry, hurt, or frustrated...let's cool your jets.

- LET'S
 CHANGE YOUR FREQUENCY -

Anger is used as a protective mechanism to cover up fear, hurt or sadness. The adrenal glands flood the body with stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. The brain shunts blood away from the gut and towards the muscles, in preparation for physical exertion. Heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration increase, the body temperature rises and the skin perspires. Don't take it so seriously, once you're on the other side you'll see that clearly, it was not worth the anger. Let's cool you down, and move you into understanding, love, and forgiveness.

Below you will find quick hacks to get you moving. Read, search, play - - take what you need! The important thing is that you allow yourself to shift, even if it is a teeny-weeny shift in perspective, in your thinking, in your feeling. Shifts are subtle ways to seeing things from a different perspective, acquire some self-love, self-compassion, and harness the strength to keep on going. That is why they say that the tinnies shift of them all can actually move mountains. So before we go any further ...stop, take a deep breath.

- DO SOME GOOD READING -

  • Anger: Wisdom for cooling the flames by Thich Nhat Hanh
"[Thich Nhat Hanh] shows us the connection between personal, inner peace and peace on earth."  Dalai Lama
With exquisite simplicity, the Buddhist monk and Vietnam refugee Thich Nhat Hanh gives tools and advice for transforming relationships, focusing energy, and rejuvenating those parts of ourselves that have been laid waste by anger. His extraordinary wisdom can transform your life and the lives of the people you love, and in the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, can give each reader the power "to change everything".

  • It's OK to be Angry via mindbodygreen.com
But just as fear has something to teach you, so does anger. Honestly, it’s an essential component of the whole enlightenment process. Arriving at forgiveness and peace is a process that happens over time, and anger’s role in that process has gotten a bad rap.

- MEDITATION TO RELEASE ANGER -

Have 3 minutes of spare? Try this meditation.

When you show your body to relax and your mind to open up, after 40 days it becomes a habit. Can you teach your body to act not to react?

This meditation brings a total mental balance to the individual psyche. Vibrating on each fingertip alternates the electrical polarities of the body. The index and ring fingers are electrically negative, relative to the other fingers. This causes a balance in the electromagnetic projection of the aura.

Practice this meditation anywhere, any time. It will center your energy, regain control of your mind, give you trust and find stability in your nervous system and emotions. You will expand your creativity as clarity becomes the norm in your mind, body, and soul. You will feel more empowered, and confident to trust the universe. Through this meditation, your mind awakens to the infinite capacity of your soul to understand the beauty of balancing it all.
